Easter evening with Grampies.

Happy Easter everyone (Ooops.. Belated?)! Today I spent an awesome evening with my grandparents at Tampines Mall. Really feel so happy to see them, esp when they are in high spirits! You can really see from the photos that my grandpa really very happy. He's usually a man with few words, but today he keep talking then keep saying the food very nice all, wanna go eat again. My grandma told him she wanna come eat again next week and it'll be their treat and I'll be her chauffer! HAHA Ooops I think I missed out the dinning venue, it's my all time favorite, DING TAI FENG!!! Looking at those pics make me really hungry alr... So if you are damn hungry now better skip this! HAHAHA

My lovely grandpa, once he entered DTF he kept showing us this sign!
DTF is really one of grandma's fav restaurants, she seldom will love other people's cooking and always eat very little when she's outside. But at DTF, totally different story!
You see, all his own actions. how cute
Mother. Must be using her phone again.
Foooood, where are you, don't keep my grampies waiting!
Ordered 2 of this, for the fried rice and pork chop lovers: grandpa and me!
Holy cow, a must have at every DTF session. Braised beef. This is the first time that grandpa tried this and he loved it! He keep eating and eating non stop then grams keep asking him to eat lesser, cos buddhist not supposed to eat beef. But he don't care only... Such a waste that grams can't eat:(
My favorite appetizer ever since I tried it 1 month ago (what a waste, I should have ordered it years back OMG). Their century egg dont have that very strong century egg taste. It has this lingering sweetness. The ginger also not the very gross kind, everything just go so shiok together. Staring at this really can make me go crazy. So tempted to go for another DTF tmrw. LOL
Grams favorite! She always ask for another bowl! Too much of this also quite jelat leh, I FEEL.
Grams' noodles. IDK why she always eat this also. I'm not a fan of soupy noodles, so no comments!
Signature XIAO LONG BAO! But the more I eat DTF, the more I get SIAN of this. My favourite bao now issss: YAM DUMPLING!!!
Me looking at the table, feeling damn sad cos my xiao yam bao not here>:(
LONG AWAITED YAM DUMPLING YOU'RE FINALLY HERE!!! ALL HAIL XIAO YAM PAO *KOWTOWS* Ever since Jean brought me to eat the yam dumpling 2 weeks back I've been craving for it! That yam paste, so rich but it's not too sweet. It's really damn shiok la, best pao ever... Talking about it really make me feel like eating alr. OMG JEANNNNN IM A SUCKER FOR YAM DUMPLINGS NOW... *I swear if I happen to pass by DTF tmrw I sure go buy yam dumplings and the century egg!
After dinner, my mission to search for alvin's printer ink, so my grampies sat here to wait for us! You see my grandpa, once he sat there he keep asking me to take picture of him! (OMG HE'S SO DEAR) Then got a few ah peh around the area keep laughing at him, too cute luh my ah gong too cute!

Alright! I've came to the end of my blogpost!
Good night folks! Need to wake up in a few hours time!
Have an awesome awesome day ahead!

i will miss grampies.

About 5 more months to US. Yay or nay? Actually I'm not too sure either. Spent almost the whole day (today) at gramps' talking to them, listening to their stories, dining. I really miss them. I miss those days when I stayed with them, whenever I'm under their care, I always have good food and proper dining habits (be it time of eating, dining etiquettes, etc). Today I spent almost half of the time in the kitchen with them, to keep them accompanied and at the same time see how they prepare their meals. I wasn't of any help in the kitchen though, I was just sitting at the side, talking to them and observing them. I felt that they have really grown older, a lot older. Especially my grandma, she's so scrawny now. When I see her walk from the fridge to the sink, her movements were so much slower (she used to be so fierce and strong). Bending down to grab the veg from the bottom rack now seemed to be such a difficult task for her, she have to hold on tightly to the fridge door to hold up her body. Grams told us her eyesight is getting from bad to worse, so she is going for some eye surgery. Thank God for those technology advancements, this eye surgery should be a smooth and easy one. Hope her surgery would be before my US trip, so I can be there for her, be it to see her or to ferry her around. May God bless my grampies, they are really angels to me<3
 Homemade ngoh-hiang
 Random veg
 Radish soup
 With homemade chicken rice
A walk with mom and grampies at the park (after dinner)

Good night folks!

Marathon

Today is a super super tiring day. Not only that I slept at 3am last night (i was supposed to be studying for my exams but i ended up talking to alvin), I went out the whole day today! Oh I'm supposed to say what time I wake up? I woke up at 6.45am, so about 3hr 45mins of sleep? Geez.. (but still not too bad! sometimes i only get 2hrs or less - worse is when idk wth i'm doing those nights). Anyway, I was quite lucky that today's NTR paper was quite manageable, the questions all quite straight fwd! Mm today's blogpost is gonna be about FOOD. I was in town shopping with mother and we went for lunch at Wild Honey, Scotts Rd. Talking about that, I'm feeling damn bloody fat now:( I ate macs breakie at 1030 and about 3 plus I went for super heavy lunch! Calories exceeded wayyyyy more than what I'm supposed to consume... Die la... Like that how to slim down? Seriously, the Wild Honey English Breakfast really need to monitor their portion (the food is for 1.5 people! - but if you really really v hungry should be can finish la).

Okay pictures!

Wild Honey (Scotts Rd) - Friday, about 3pm.
Mother

Love the little little displays on the table^^
Mother's pressed coffee.
My caramel latte!
THE KILLER ENGLISH BREAKFAST!
STEPH'S STEAK SANDWICH: Thats the name of the dish!!! And apparently my mum say it sucks! When they served the food to my mum the food was no longer warm. It was kind of a bad experience for her. But she damn nice just say aiya nvm luh... zzz Personally I kinda still prefer the Wild Honey at Mandarin Gallery cause I feel that the place is more homely. Over here, it's more atas (act atas i should say? - the service also not atas enough, those waitresses just stand around to talk and giggle). But that's beside the point.. I'm more concern with the quality of food! I still prefer European breakfast (egg benedict) to my English breakfast, but sad thing I didnt manage to try it at this Scotts outlet, if not I can compare to see if there's any difference in quality of food from the 2 outlets!

Some snapshots of that place!

TIME FO` ME TO SLEEEP!!! CANNOT TAKE IT ALR!!!:)

GOOD NIGHT^^
